Chiropractic Adjustments

Spinal manipulation or adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning to its highest potential.  When the spine is misaligned, your overall performance decreases.  When vertebrae shift out of place it can imping on the nerves, sending inadequate information throughout the body.  Misalignment can affect the overall functioning of your body.  It can affect our nerves, muscles and our immune system.  Our overall physical health and minds will not function at their highest level if the body is not properly aligned.

Spinal manipulation and adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level without discomfort. Proper alignment reduces pressure on the joints, reduces inflammation and improves nerve function When the body is properly aligned, it becomes able to respond and perform the way it was intended.

Spinal manipulation is used to treat allergies, headaches, neck and back pain, disc problems, sciatica and whiplash.

Chiropractic Services and Modalities

Electrical Stimulation Therapy (E-Stim) – Creates small contractions in the muscles and the muscles become fatigued and relax, relieving pain from muscle spasms.  E-stim also releases endorphins, which are the body’s own pain relievers.  In addition, E-stim aids in clearing metabolic waste, and allows nutrients to be delivered to soft tissue allowing it to heal more quickly. E-stim can be used for both acute and chronic pain conditions.  Ask your chiropractor if you are a good candidate for Electrical Stimulation therapy.

Therapeutic Ultrasound (TU) – Most of us are familiar with diagnostic ultrasound which is used in detecting things such as the health of a fetus or determining soft tissue irregularities.   Therapeutic Ultrasound uses sound waves to promote healing and reduce pain in the soft tissue.  A deep heating effect creates an increase in blood flow and cellular activity. This is a noninvasive treatment that can be used for chronic pain and injuries affecting musculoskeletal issues like tendonitis and muscle strains as well as post-surgical recovery.  Using Therapeutic Ultrasound leads to greater flexibility and an increase in range of motion, as well as a breakdown of scar tissue.

Spinal Decompression (SD) – Non-surgical Spinal decompression is designed to relieve pressure on the nerves in the spinal column.  This is designed to create space between the vertebrae to reduce pressure on the nerves.  SD is an effective treatment to relieve back pain from sciatica and spinal stenosis as well as herniated discs, disc degeneration and spinal stenosis.  Spinal Decompression can be used on the neck and back.  SD improves mobility and range of motion.  Using Spinal Decompression can reduce the need for pain medication.  Ask your physician as soon as possible if you are a candidate for spinal decompression.  Start getting relief today.

Kinesio-Taping

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.
