Regenerative Medicine

Parker Integrative Medicine joined Porter Chiropractic and Wellness in July of 2017. Dr. Cindy R. Parker, PA-C, Doctor of Health Science and Physician Associate, brings over 30 years of medical and orthopedic experience along with alternative medicine knowledge and techniques that compliment the services of Porter Chiropractic and Wellness.

Dr. Parker received her Bachelors in Medicine at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty concentration in Internal Medicine from the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine, and completed her Doctor of Health Science at Nova Southeastern University, College of Health Care Sciences.

Dr. Parker has knowledge and experience with several alternative and complementary products and techniques including, trigger point therapy and joint injections with an "all-natural" anti-inflammatory medication called Sarapin, Traumeel and Hyaluronic Acid .

SARAPIN® is an injectable analgesic/anti-inflammatory indicated for the management of muscular or neuropathic pain that may be treated by local infiltration or nerve block. The distillate of a suspension of powdered Sarracenia purpurea (Pitcher Plant), SARAPIN® has been used safely and effectively for pain management by physicians for over 70 years. Trameel ® is a fixed combination of plant and mineral extracts which reduces inflammation and restores normal function. Hyaluronic acid is a natural chemical found in the body and is present in high quantities in joint tissues and in the fluids that fills the joints. Hyaluronic acid acts a lubricant and shock absorber in the joint. In Osteoarthritis the amount of lubricant decreases and the joint is not able to function properly.

Dr. Parker has extensive training and is a certified practitioner of the Integrative Dry Needling technique for musculo-skeletal pain. Dry Needling is a similar to acupuncture, but specifically targets the neuromuscular junctions to reduce pain and muscle spasms.

Parker Integrative Medicine also provides Regenerative Medicine, including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Allograft Stem Cell therapies for arthritic joints and spine; Aesthetic Rejuvenation, consisting of Bio-Facials, Bio-Facelifts and Bio-Fillers; Hair Restoration; Wound Healing Therapies; and Neuropathy treatments.

Lectures are given on the fourth Wednesday of every month discussing how all of these therapies can help reduce pain, restore function and regenerate diseased areas. Call (386) 317-2000 to RSVP for one of our lecture . Seating is limited.

Trigger Point Injection Therapy
Trigger points are focal areas of muscle spasm, often located in the upper back and shoulder areas. A trigger point injection involves the injection of medication directly into the trigger point. Trigger point injections can be used to treat a number of conditions including fibromyalgia, tension headache, and myofascial pain syndrome.

Dry Needling
Integrative Dry Needling is an safe, effective and efficient treatment for patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain and neuromuscular conditions. Through the theory of microcirculation, the goal of the treatment is to improve blood flow to injured, malnourished tissue, effectively restoring the healing process and eliminating pain. Although it is the scientific placement of very fine filament needles, it is not to be confused with acupuncture.

Body Sculpting/Cavitation Ultrasound
Ultrasound Cavitation: Body Sculpting/Slimming using ultrasound to melt fat and combined with Tripolar radio frequency (RF) to tighten and tone skin and reduce sagging, wrinkles, and the appearance of cellulite.
